Thanks to 30 years of experience in controlling injection molding machines, the experts from Dpstar have acquired comprehensive knowledge of the industry and technology. We work hand-in-hand with our customers to develop customized solutions based on our standard components. Because of the extraordinary scalability of our products, they can be easily tailored to your exact demands. Dpstar Hot Mold System ensures a high-precision temperature control and is optimized for the requirements of the plastics industry. Our versatile and efficient system control designed specially to meet the automation needs of plastic molding machines. It is cost-efficient and suitable for simple hydraulic injection molding machines to complex and multi-component systems. Besides its excellent control performance of heating processes, the system control consists important core functions like different monitoring, alarming functions, and automatic self-tuning of control parameters.

Keeping the temperature consistent is the key to a successful plastic process that produces quality products. Mold temperature and its fluctuation have influence on shrinkage, dimension stability, mechanical properties, deformation, stress cracking and surface quality. Starting in a liquid state, the plastic is then heated & pressurized out through the mold. Once in the mold, the plastic is then cooled down to form. So while the temperature is changed during different phases of the process, it must be controlled accurately throughout the system at any given phase.

We build and design a starter & control panel in order to control the operations of the hot mold system using Omron programmable controllers. The PLC will properly identifying and controlling the temperatures at each point throughout a plastic injection-molding machine to ensure that the process runs smoothly and the machine’s longevity is not compromised. Knowing the different flaws that can occur in the finished product and the temperature control errors that create those flaws will allow for quick troubleshooting and correction of unexpected results, yielding pristine parts while increasing efficiency.  Dpstar supply 300pcs of infrared heaters for the Hot Mold System. Infrared radiant heat energy can be delivered to concentrated areas at a very fast rate with individual heaters or heater arrays. An infrared heating system is designed and built to heat the mold surface dynamically. The infrared heating system raises the mold cavity temperature locally to facilitate the replication of the micro-structure. The focus of this project was all about controlling the heat at any given point in the process. So having a state-of-the-art control panel engineered to replace the older was key to gaining better accuracy and consistency. In addition, the efficiency of control was improved throughout the entire molding process.
