Furnaces and kilns often present harsh conditions, with high temperatures and demanding environments, requiring the use of specialized temperature sensors, such as thermocouples or RTDs. This, combined with the correct digital temperature controller, will ensure that the most effective control is implemented. Energy expenses continue to rise, so it is critical to maintain the control of temperature in furnaces, kilns, and ovens to minimise energy consumption, costs, and, pollution emissions. Temperature controls provide an optimum solution for monitoring the extreme conditions in high heat equipment. In order to meet our client’s requirements for process measurement and control, Dpstar brings our range of rigid and flexible high-temperature thermocouples. It is best suitable for various industrial applications where process measurement and control are essential functions. Our high-temperature Thermocouples are very tough and can withstand up to 1250°C (depending on design and thermocouple type) making them perfect for a wide variety of industrial uses such as ovens, kilns, and furnaces.
In the heat-treating industry, companies turn to Dpstar for their temperature sensor assemblies. Dpstar supplies 20 pcs of high-temperature thermocouples that meet furnace certifications. It measures the temperature in the heat treatment furnace in real-time to maintain and control the temperature of furnaces at a certain predetermined value for the sake of proper functioning of the system. A failing system may lead to the loss of a huge amount of capital. So, this project basically deals with the temperature control of the furnace, for which a digital temperature controller has been used, which is actually a PID controller. Thermo – emf generated by the thermocouple acts as an input to the PID controller and the temperature of the furnace is maintained according to the pre-set value by increasing or decreasing the amount of electrical input given to the heater of the furnace.
