Backersafe Immersion Heater | J Shape Immersion Heater

Backersafe Immersion Heater J Shape Immersion Heater are available in a variety of sheath materials, including titanium, Incoloy, and copper. These heaters comply with the latest legislation, BSEN60335-2-73, which includes specific clauses designed to prevent the risk of boiling water. A key requirement is that the immersion heater must be disconnected from the mains supply if the primary thermostat fails with contacts closed, allowing the water temperature to exceed 85°C.

To meet this standard, Backer offers two types of immersion heaters:

1. The first type uses a non-resettable BT range rod thermostat, which also includes a secondary single resettable button thermostat in series with the main rod thermostat.
2. The second type uses a single BMST range rod thermostat, which features a secondary temperature sensing device and a second set of contacts, all within one thermostat.

Backersafe immersion heaters are available in copper, Incoloy 800, Incoloy 825, and titanium to accommodate various water conditions across different regions.
