  • A rapidly reversing magnetic field is produced in the lower housing.
  • As the fluid moves through this field, a voltage is generated that is measured and translated into a frequency signal proportional to flow rate.
  • This square wave signal can be sent directly to a PLC, control or converted to 4 to 20 mA.

Vetrix IM Series – Insertion Magnetic Flow Meter is designed to measure liquid velocity and can be easily installed in pipelines ranging from 200mm (8 inches) to 3000mm (120 inches) in internal diameter using a small tapping. Its reliability stems from its complete absence of moving parts; there’s no rotor that can seize in dirty water, and no bearings that can wear out. Optional reverse flow output is available. The lower housing generates a rapidly alternating magnetic field. As fluid passes through this field, it induces a voltage, which is then measured and converted into a square wave signal proportional to the flow rate. This signal can be directly transmitted to a PLC for control or converted into a 4 to 20 mA signal.
