Enquiry

For controlling or regulating process sequences contact pressure gauges with electrical alarm contacts can be used. Depending on the position of the pointer on the pressure gauge the contacts open or close electrical circuits . For process pressures of approximately 1 bar and more our contact pressure gauges with the Bourdon tube system can be used. The copper alloy materials that are used in the pressure gauges may not be attacked by the media (gases or liquids). Liquids may not be too viscous or be susceptible to crystallization. A very reliable and inexpensive contact pressure gauge is realized by the inexpensive and established Bourdon tube system coupled with a modern modular principle.

Gauges with liquid filling are damped if pressure pulses or mechanical vibrations arise. This extends the service life and the gauge display remains largely vibration free. The location of the pressure connection at the bottom or back allows different methods of installation. Especially in harsh industrial conditionselectrical alarm contacts are used as magnetic snap-action contacts. To switch high currents reliably, a high contact pressure and different electrical contact materials are chosen. A relay is to be used to provide an appropriate current rating, if the electrical switching capacities of the alarm contacts are exceeded or not reached.

Inductive alarm contacts have no unfavourable effects on the pressure measuring system while having an unlimited service life, because they operate without physical contact. These contacts always need a control unit for operation. If the appropriate regulations are observed, the contact pressure gauges with inductive alarm contacts can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
