Ninomiya KPGB – Polyimide-Tape Wrapped And Glass-Insulated Nickel-Conductor Heat Resistant Cables

Ninomiya KPGB series consists of heat-resistant cables with nickel conductors that are highly durable against heat and corrosion. These cables feature a construction where nickel wires, conforming to JIS C 2532 standards, are stranded together. Alternatively, nickel-coated annealed copper wires can also be used as conductors.

The conductors are wrapped twice with polyimide tape and further protected by a double layer of glass insulation, which includes a braided glass yarn. A final layer of silicone varnish ensures the insulation’s durability. For conductors with a nominal sectional area of 8.0 square millimeters or more, they undergo a different process involving double braiding with glass yarn instead of serving.

Color coding is achieved by coloring the silicone varnish, spiraling glass yarn braids, and adding colored glass fiber stripes on the outermost layer. The standard color scheme features black-spiraled stripes against a white background.

These cables find extensive use as lead wires in electric heaters and in high-temperature equipment applications, where exceptional heat and corrosion resistance are essential.
