PR Electronics 2281 Ramp Generator is a versatile device designed to convert digital signals into time-controlled analog signals. It features an intuitive user interface with a 3-digit display and function keys for easy adjustment of functions, ramp times, and output signal ranges.

Advanced Features

  • User Interface: Equipped with a 3-digit display and 3 function keys on the front panel for changing functions, ramp time, and output signal range.
  • LED Indicators: LEDs for indicating up, reset, and down statuses.
  • Digital Inputs: Six digital inputs allow for selection of reset and up/down functions as either NPN or PNP input (+24 VDC).

Applications

  • Time-Controlled Analog Signal Conversion: Converts digital signals into a time-controlled analog signal using either internally set up/down times or external pulses for up/down functions.
  • 2-Phase Encoder: Suitable for use as a 2-phase encoder.
  • Ramp Generation: Functions as a ramp generator with internal time measurement or external pulses.

Technical Characteristics

  • Input Filters: Features an analog switch to toggle between input filters for pulse lengths greater than 10 ms or 0.5 ms. The 10 ms filter is used to eliminate contact bounce.
  • Analog Output: Provides standard analog current outputs of 0/4…20 mA or jumper-selectable 0/2…10 mA, and standard voltage outputs of 0/0.2…1 VDC, 0/2…10 VDC, or special configurations.

Mounting / Installation

  • Standard 11-Pole Socket: Designed for mounting on a standard 11-pole socket, adaptable for DIN rail or plate use with PR’s 7023 adaptor and 7024 mounting keying.

PR Electronics 2281 Ramp Generator is an ideal solution for applications requiring precise control of analog signals based on digital inputs. Its flexible configuration, robust design, and easy-to-use interface make it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications involving time-controlled signal conversion and ramp generation.
