AOIP CALYS 1000 is a multifunctional field documenting calibrator from the CALYS range, ideal for advanced process maintenance and test bench applications across all industries. This versatile tool supports both field and laboratory measurements, allowing simultaneous measurement, generation, and recording on two isolated channels of various signals such as temperature, pressure, resistance, process, and frequency—all in a single device. It includes enhanced features like temperature simulation, scaling, steps, synthesizer, statistical functions, and user-configurable settings. The CALYS 1000 facilitates advanced data analysis, complete data traceability, and easy menu-driven access to functions.

The instrument simultaneously measures and simulates:

  • Temperature: Up to 0,014% RDG
  • Resistance: Up to 0,012% RDG, 4 kΩ range
  • Current: Up to 0,0175% RDG, 50 mA range + 24 V loop supply
  • Voltage: Up to 0,013% RDG, 50 V range
  • Frequency: Up to 0,005% RDG, 20 kHz range (10 kHz in simulation)
  • Pressure: with an external pressure module (ref. ACL433) (comparison calibration with a pressure pump).

Calibration procedures and DATACAL software
This intuitive instrument streamlines calibration processes throughout the entire workflow. With the ability to store up to 10 calibration procedures on the device, you can bring the documenting process calibrator into the field for extended periods, up to a week. Simply connect the probes to the instrument, run the procedure, and save the results for swift and efficient on-site calibration. Once back in the office, the data can be uploaded to a computer where you can generate customized calibration certificates using the dedicated DATACAL software.

Graphic screen and display resolution
The CALYS 1000 allows users to select the number of digits displayed after the decimal point. This feature caters to different user needs, enabling them to either display the highest resolution for precise calibrations or limit it for simpler verifications. The device’s dual display consistently shows the measurement value along with the output value, the gauge, and the functions being utilized. Additionally, the top of the display indicates the date, time, and external temperature. During measurements, the display on the left shows the average, maximum, minimum, and total number of measurements. For outputs, this area of the screen details all aspects of ramps, steps, and constant value emission functions. The interface includes drop-down menus navigated via a cursor, and built-in online help is available to simplify the connection of probes and wires.
