Application

  • Linearized, electronic temperature measurement using RTD or TC sensors.
  • Conversion of linear resistance variations to standard analog current/voltage signals, such as those from solenoids, butterfly valves, or potentiometer-attached linear movements.
  • Power supply and signal isolation for 2-wire transmitters.
  • Process control featuring two pairs of potential-free relay contacts and an analog output.
  • Galvanic isolation of analog signals and measurement of floating signals.
  • Designed to meet strict safety requirements, making it suitable for use in SIL 2 installations.

Technical Characteristics:

  • When used with the 45xx display/programming units, all operational parameters of PR Electronics 4116 can be modified for any application. PR Electronics 4116 features electronic hardware switches, eliminating the need to open the device to set DIP-switches.
  • A green/red front LED indicates normal operation or malfunction, and a yellow LED illuminates for each active output relay.
  • Continuous monitoring of vital stored data for safety purposes.
  • 4-port 2.3 kVAC galvanic isolation.
  • Suitable for use in systems up to Performance Level “d” according to ISO-13849.

Mounting/Installation/Programming:

  • The unit’s very low power consumption allows for side-by-side mounting without an air gap, even at ambient temperatures up to 60°C.
  • Configuration, monitoring, 2-point process calibration, and more are performed using PR’s 45xx detachable displays.
  • All programming can be password-protected for security.
