Decarbonization is the process of reducing the use of carbon emissions and fossil fuels in industrial processes. Being a pioneer in electrical heaters Dpstar strongly advocates for electrification in the transition to electric heating products for key industrial processes. Electric power offers a number of environmental, fiscal, and safety benefits for industrial use. Electricity is a cost-effective and highly efficient power that makes for environmentally-friendly heaters. Using electricity makes a big difference in environmental impact. Electricity produces no harmful emissions and there is very little wasted energy.
Switching to electric heating products can improve the energy efficiency of the heating process, depending on heat requirements and type of heating application, it can reduce carbon emissions from vaporizers, thermal energy storage, food processing, diesel emissions, and other applications. Dpstar heaters, power and temperature controllers, along with other products, give design engineers in various industries the resources they need to reduce their carbon emissions. As a global leader in providing thermal application solutions, Dpstar is well-positioned to help.
Through our instrumentation and automation solutions, we are able to design and work on custom-built applications which deliver the highest accuracy sensors for maximum energy efficiency.
Use case: We managed to generate savings in excess of 40% on the chillers, electricity usage, and energy costs through our sensors installed in a leading wafer fab manufacturing plant. We included predictive maintenance, calibration, verification along with a wireless and completely remote monitoring solution that was web-enabled so that users had the convenience of the data at their fingertips anywhere anytime.
Reduced equipment lifespans resulting from insufficient maintenance or inefficient design is a major source of waste, both environmental and financial. Premature replacement or constant repairs can add up quickly.
Use case: Dpstar we have provided for extended warranty provision that also includes spares, repairs, yearly checks, and predictive maintenance through our software. All of these factors result in lower operating costs and a smaller ecological footprint.
Not only can one save on the energy costs but overall cost of ownership can be significantly lower. The combined initial cost, energy usage and maintenance factors of unsuitable products always end up costing more over its lifetime.
Use case: Nestle typically uses a gas boiler for steam tracing and with new practices of staying off fossil fuels we designed, installed and commissioned new instrumentation, electrical heat tracing, and the control systems that were more environmentally friendly that also cost them less
Process control engineering is critical to any plant’s success. Dpstar thermal engineer design improves sheath, flange and shell temperature accuracies.
Use case: Our enhanced fluid dynamics and world-class pressure drop technology changes the way OEMs and design engineers interact with heaters and thermocouples.

Health and safety are an integral part of our everyday routine; it is part of our culture, the way we work, and we take pride in what we do. We strengthen our culture through providing employees with training and tools to recognize hazards, mitigate risk and implement strong health and safety management practices. Core components of our program include:
Seamless integration of health and safety into daily work practices, including start of shift and organizational meetings, project planning, equipment purchasing and process design.
In the earliest days of the pandemic, our facilities and employees quickly adapted with new ways of working to both promote a safe working environment and ensure business continuity. We developed and continue to implement company-wide COVID-19 health and safety practices that in most cases go well beyond regional and national government requirements. These include health screening, workspace cleaning guidelines, staggered work schedules, marked walking paths and manufacturing floors to enhance physical distancing and facilitating remote work where appropriate. Working as a cohesive team, we have also distributed facemask, enhanced sanitation, restricted business travel, implemented contact tracing and provided flexible working conditions in an aggressively short timeframe. We changed our paid-time-off and short-term disability policies to accommodate for those infected or exposed to COVID-19 and allowed for extension of carry-over days to take into consideration the inability of our employees to take holidays due to travel restrictions and lockdowns. We ensured that potentially exposed or unwell people did not come to our facilities
