The Water Temperature Sensor project for TNB Power Plant addresses the critical need for accurate sea water temperature measurement near the jetty. Measuring the temperature of the seawater plays a crucial role in optimizing cooling system efficiency, preventing equipment damage, ensuring environmental compliance, optimizing energy efficiency, and facilitating effective maintenance planning for the power plant. With our extensive experience in sensor technology and wireless communication, we develop a robust Water Temperature Sensor system. This system will provide TNB with accurate and real-time temperature measurements, enabling them to optimize their power plant operations effectively. By overcoming the challenges associated with seawater temperature monitoring, we are committed to supporting TNB’s mission of delivering reliable and sustainable electricity to Malaysia. Together, we will create a solution that ensures precise temperature monitoring, seamless data transmission, and enhanced operational efficiency for TNB Power Plant.
The project objective is to develop a water temperature sensing system for a TNB power plant. The system will utilize an RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) PT100 sensor to accurately measure the temperature of the seawater near the jetty. The measured temperature will be transmitted wirelessly to the main panel board located at a distance of approximately 60 meters. The system will also include a custom-made SS316 thermowell protection with a bracket to ensure the sensor’s durability and proper installation.
