Application

  • Dual temperature sensor redundancy for reliable temperature measurement. The secondary sensor takes over if the primary sensor fails.
  • Duplication of input signals such as temperature or analog signals to two separate analog outputs.
  • Signal calculation capability with four arithmetic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Examples:
    • Differential measurement formula: (Input1×K1)−(Input2×K2)+K4(Input 1 \times K1) – (Input 2 \times K2) + K4
    • Average measurement formula: (Input1×0.5)+(Input2×0.5)+K4(Input 1 \times 0.5) + (Input 2 \times 0.5) + K4
    • Different functions on outputs: Output 1 = Input1−Input2Input 1 – Input 2, Output 2 = Input1+Input2Input 1 + Input 2
  • Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) safety barrier and power supply for 2-wire transmitters.

Technical Characteristics

  • Programmable to specific applications within seconds using the configuration program PReset.
  • Green front LED indicates normal operation, sensor errors on each sensor, and functional errors.
  • 5-port 3.75 kVAC galvanic isolation.

Mounting/Installation

  • Can be mounted vertically or horizontally on a DIN rail. Up to 42 devices can be mounted per meter without requiring space between neighboring units.
