Lutron RSW-923 – RS232 To Wi-Fi Converter

Lutron RSW-923 is an RS232 to Wi-Fi converter designed to facilitate data sharing from LUTRON meters equipped with RS232 interfaces. With a maximum capacity of three meters, this device enables the meters to transmit data via Wi-Fi, allowing easy access to measuring data from personal devices such as desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

For instance, in a museum scenario where multiple showrooms are present in an open space, each showroom can install up to three Humidity/temp. indicator MHT-381SD meters with the RSW-923. This setup allows the museum’s IT control center to conveniently monitor the humidity and temperature information from three sets of meters in each room through the Wi-Fi network.

Lutron RSW-923 supports the connection of 1 to a maximum of 3 meters and a maximum of 12 channels in total. It features basic Wi-Fi settings accessible through the front buttons, including options for configuring Net mode (Client or AP), SSID, Password, IP address, Port, and Gateway.

Equipped with a dot matrix LCD display, the RSW-923 offers convenient monitoring and configuration. It includes five input/output terminals:

1. DC 9V power input.
2. DC 9V power output to supply power to the connected RS232 meter.
3. RS232 inputs for Meter 1, Meter 2, and Meter 3, all featuring photo-isolated RS232 types.

Included accessories are:
1. ACV to DC 9V power adapter.
2. Three RS232 interface cables (UPCB-03).
3. One power interface cable (PWCB-06) to connect the power cable to the RS232 meter.

The device is compatible with both Android and iOS apps, which enable users to monitor measurement values and logs. Additionally, it supports high/low alarm notifications and can send warning messages via SMS or email for added convenience and security.
