Application

  • PR Electronics 4511 detachable display adds Modbus RTU RS-485 serial communications to all existing and upcoming 4000/9000 units.
  • It enables conversion of various sensor and analog device signals, such as uni- and bipolar mA and voltage signals, potentiometer, Lin. R, RTD, and TC signals measured by the system 4000, into a Modbus communication line signal.
  • When integrated with a system 9000 device, it facilitates conversion of signals like AI, AO, DI, and DO, which originate from or are directed towards I.S. classified areas, into the Modbus network.
  • Individual operating parameters of each unit can be easily configured using Modbus communication or the front display menu.
  • The clear and legible PR Electronics 4511 display provides functionality to monitor process signals, simulate output signals, indicate sensor and internal device errors.

Technical Features:

  • PR Electronics 4511 includes complete PR Electronics 4501 functionality for unit programming, process signal monitoring, and diagnostics management.
  • It supports Modbus RTU protocol via serial RS-485 communication.
  • Utilizes shielded RJ45 connector for multidrop half-duplex connection.
  • Ensures high safe galvanic isolation of 2.5 kVAC between the serial wiring and connected system 4000/9000 units.
  • Modbus parameters like address, baud rate, stop bit(s), and parity bit can be configured and stored from PR Electronics 4511 display.
  • Mounting and Installation:
  • Suitable for mounting in Zone 2 / Div 2 environments.
  • PR Electronics 4511 is designed for easy transfer between devices. Configuration from the first system 4000/9000 unit can be saved and applied to subsequent devices.
  • User-defined password protection for programmed parameters.
  • Includes a menu option for adjusting PR Electronics 4511 display orientation and button functions when mounted on devices installed upside down.
