Vaisala Temperature Probe HMP3 and Vaisala HUMICAP Humidity is a general-purpose probe designed for processes with moderate humidity and temperature levels. It’s great for places like industrial HVAC systems, paint booths, clean rooms, and environmental chambers, where occasional recalibration isn’t enough for upkeep. HMP3 is part of the Indigo family and works with Indigo500 and Indigo200 series transmitters. You can also use Vaisala Insight PC software for data visualization, simple probe setup, and field calibration.

Vaisala HMP3 probe is versatile and ideal for many industrial uses with moderate humidity and temperature. It uses Vaisala’s advanced thin-film capacitive humidity measurement technology, which is widely recognized as the industry standard. With Vaisala’s HUMICAP technology, it ensures excellent stability, quick response times, and minimal hysteresis across various applications.

Exchangeable sensor with several filter options

The design is ideal for a range of operating environments and allows for flexible field maintenance. The filter and sensor element are field-exchangeable for applications which require frequent replacements. Filters suitable for the Vaisala HMP3 include stainless-steel 12 µ mesh filters (for applications such as air control units), sintered stainless-steel filters (for applications where maximum protection against dust ingress is essential), and PPS plastic grid filters for improved humidity response time.

Use standalone or with an Indigo Transmitter

Vaisala HMP3 is smart and versatile, with built-in intelligence and a digital Modbus RTU over RS-485 connection. It can function independently or seamlessly integrate into other systems. As part of the Vaisala Indigo family, it works with Vaisala Indigo series transmitters, offering benefits like data visualization, easy probe configuration, and more connectivity options. Whether used alone or with an Indigo transmitter, it can be connected to Vaisala Insight software for simple field calibration, probe configuration, and device analytics.
