Vetrix LT Series – Liquid Turbine Flow-Meters are specifically designed for applications involving water, diesel, gasoline, and other fluids where measurement and control are critical. These meters operate based on the turbine principle. This means that the speed of an impeller rotating within the fluid flow is measured and converted into either pulse signals or a 4-20mA current.

Operating Principle:

Fluid enters the meter and initially passes through an inlet flow straightener, which reduces turbulent flow patterns. The fluid then flows through the turbine, causing it to rotate at a speed directly proportional to the fluid velocity. As each blade of the turbine moves through the magnetic field generated by the meter’s magnetic pickup, it generates an AC voltage pulse. These pulses produce an output frequency that correlates with the volumetric flow rate.
