Vaisala MMP8 features the latest Vaisala HUMICAP 180L2 sensor, built on 20 years of field experience. Specifically designed for measuring moisture in transformer and lubrication oils, this sensor offers accurate results across a wide range. The HUMICAP 180L2 sensor has excellent sensitivity in the dry end of the range, which is typically needed in transformer applications. The MMP8 probe ensures fast and reliable moisture measurement in oil, utilizing the reliable Vaisala HUMICAP sensor developed for various liquid applications.

Vaisala MMP8 measures dissolved moisture in oil, showing it as water activity (aw), relative saturation (%RS), and temperature (T). Water activity or relative saturation directly indicate if there’s a risk of free water forming, important in lubrication oil to detect water and prevent free water buildup. This measurement works regardless of oil type or age.
