Vaisala DMP6 Dew Point Probe is specially designed for measuring humidity in industrial drying processes, even at very high temperatures and a wide range of dew points. It stays reliable and accurate thanks to its unique cooling system that keeps it within optimal temperature ranges. The probe uses the Vaisala DRYCAP sensor, which is resistant to condensation, contaminants, and chemicals. It even dries quickly if it does get wet, maintaining its fast response time. In low humidity, it automatically calibrates itself for accurate readings. The DMP6 works with the Indigo family of transmitters and can be used with Vaisala Insight PC software for data visualization and easy configuration.

Key Benefits

Measure Dew Point Directly In Very Hot Processes

Vaisala DMP6 is designed to measure dew point in hot processes ranging from 100 to 350°C (+662°F). It works best between 100°C and 350°C. Its cooling system doesn’t have any moving parts and doesn’t need extra power or cooling, reducing the risk of sensor damage from mechanical failures. Installing it is easy, as you can place the probe directly in the process. Plus, with in-line measurement, there’s no need for a sampling system or sample line heating.

Vaisala DRYCAP Sensor For Accurate & Reliable Measurements

The Vaisala DRYCAP sensor is precise, dependable, and consistent. It resists condensation and is resistant to dust, oil vapor, and many chemicals. Sensor warming prevents condensation buildup. If it does get wet, it quickly dries and returns to normal. Its auto-calibration feature ensures accurate and steady measurements.

The chemical purge involves periodic heating of the sensor to remove harmful chemicals. In environments with high concentrations of chemicals and cleaning agents, it helps to maintain measurement accuracy between calibration intervals.

Use standalone or with an Indigo Transmitter

The Vaisala DMP6 is part of the Vaisala Indigo family, so it’s compatible with other Vaisala Indigo series transmitters. These transmitters offer extra features like a display for visualizing data, simple probe configuration, and more options for connecting to automation systems, power supplies, and wiring. With built-in Modbus RTU over RS-485 output, the DMP6 can work alone or be easily integrated into third-party systems. Whether used on its own or with an Indigo transmitter, it can connect to the Vaisala Insight PC software for easy calibration, probe setup, and device analysis.
