Application

  • Provides power and safety isolation for 2-wire transmitters installed in hazardous areas.
  • Acts as a safety barrier for analog current/voltage signals originating from hazardous areas.
  • Allows for 1:1 signal conversion or signal conditioning of analog current/voltage signals.

Technical Specifications

  • PR Electronics 5104B offers 20 pre-calibrated measurement ranges selectable via internal DIP switches, eliminating the need for recalibration. Custom ranges are also available.
  • PR Electronics PR5104B employs microprocessor technology for precise gain and offset adjustment, ensuring a response time of less than 25 ms for analog signal transmission.
  • Inputs, outputs, and power supply are electrically isolated and floating.
  • The output can function as either an active current/voltage transmitter or a 2-wire transmitter.

Mounting/Installation

  • Mounts vertically or horizontally on a DIN rail. With the 2-channel version, up to 84 channels can be mounted per meter.
  • Note: PR Electronics 5104B is recommended as an intrinsically safe (I.S.) barrier for 5331D, 5333D, 5334B, 5343B, 6331B, 6333B, and 6334B models.
