Vaisala DSS70A is designed to provide dew-point sampling flexibility for Vaisala DM70 hand-held dew point meter. It’s commonly used in metal treatment and plastic drying processes. For processes at normal pressure, a battery-powered pump is used to extract a gas sample. For pressures up to 20 bar, the sample is taken at process pressure and then adjusted to normal pressure for venting or redirection, bypassing the pump. In all situations, the sample gas passes through a filter to remove particles before measurement. Flow through the system is controlled and checked using a needle valve and flow meter.
