PR Electronics 7916 backplane offers a compact and sturdy solution for safely and conveniently connecting PR System 9000 IS device signals to standard automation systems.
Standard automation system cables and connectors are utilized to link the backplane to the I/O cards.
The backplane supports Direct, Redundant, and Duplicate signaling, including HART I/O System connectivity (HART MUX).
System 9000 devices isolate and convert AI, AO, DI, and DO signals from or to the I.S. classified area, directing them to a system automation I/O card.
Even when integrated into the backplane solution, System 9000 units maintain SIL2 level functional safety.

Supports flexible 24 VDC supply voltage and redundant power supply connections.

Mounting / Installation / Programming

Can be flexibly mounted horizontally, vertically, on panels, or walls in Safe or Zone 2 / Div 2 areas.
System 9000 devices easily attach and detach using piano keys and support hot-swapping.
Tag number and ID labels can be easily mounted and read using the dedicated piano key spacer.
Operates effectively across a wide temperature range from -20°C to +60°C.
