Ninomiya SRCT / SR-KCT – Silicone Rubber Cabtyre Cables

Silicone-rubber cabtyre cable (SRCT, SR-KCT) is a stranded cable with silicone-rubber outer sheath made of several tin-coated annealed copper wires which are coated with silicon-rubber separately. SRCT series is manufactured based on the NINOMIYA Standards. SR-KCT series is type-approved, conforms to the regulations of Electrical Appliance and Material Control Law and rated at 600 V. Maximum operating temperature of both series is common at 180 ℃.

Ninomiya SRCT / SR-KCT cables are stranded cables featuring a silicone rubber outer sheath. They consist of multiple tin-coated annealed copper wires individually insulated with silicone rubber. The SRCT series adheres to Ninomiya Standards, while the SR-KCT series is type-approved and complies with the Electrical Appliance and Material Control Law, rated at 600 V. Both series share a maximum operating temperature of 180 ℃.

Construction:

  • Conductor: The conductor is a stranded wire composed of several tin-coated annealed copper elemental wires, meeting JIS C 3152 standards. Nickel-coated or silver-coated annealed copper wires can also serve as conductors.
  • Insulator: Each conductor wire is uniformly coated with silicone rubber to form an insulating layer.
  • Strand: 2 to 7 insulated wires are stranded together.
  • Outer sheath: The stranded wires are encapsulated in silicone rubber to ensure complete filling. The standard color of the sheath is typically gray.

Applications

These cables find extensive use in various applications, such as moderate to high temperature environments (up to 180 ℃), lead wirings, and wirings for moving parts.
